Luis Pena (pictured) fights Matt Frevola in a lightweight bout at UFC Tampa on Oct. 12 | Esther Lin, MMA Fighting Luis Pena’s next lightweight fight will be against Matt Frevola. The two fighters announced via their social media accounts that they have been paired up for the UFC’s upcoming visit to Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla., on Oct. 12. Frevola (7-1-1) picked up his first Octagon win at UFC 236 this past April, outpointing Jalin Turner. Prior to that, Frevola fought to a majority draw with Lando Vannata and lost by first-round knockout to Marco Polo Reyes. He earned a UFC contract in August 2017 with a win on the Contender Series. UFC Tampa will be headlined by a strawweight bout featuring former champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs. Michelle Waterson. The main card airs live on the ESPN+ streaming service.
